Our Freehouse Bar & Cellar
As a freehouse, we are pleased to be able to offer customers a wide range of local ales, spirits and other drinks. Every summer we hold a cider festival and a beer festival, plus occasional beer and wine tasting evenings.
Non-drinkers are well catered for, with grown-up soft drinks from Fentiman’s and Frobisher’s, and proper coffee available all day.
Real ales
Our house ale is Sharp’s Doom Bar, and we have up to three other cask ales and a craft keg beer also available.
We’re proud to support the CAMRA LocAle promotion, supporting local breweries – and on the Devon/Cornwall border we have some great local breweries to promote! On our bar you’ll regularly find ales from Tavy Ales, Bere Brewery, Otter Brewery, South Hams Brewery, Bays Brewery, Noss Beer Works, Summerskills, Sharp’s Brewery and St Austell Brewery.
Local spirits
The growing market in locally-produced spirits has really boosted our bar! We have gins from Tarquin’s, Salcombe, Bath and Trevethan, Black Cow vodka, and spiced rum from Dead Man’s Fingers and Revolver. Anyone for cocktails?
