    Burns Supper

    7.00pm Arrival

The Olde Plough Inn, our 12th  Burns Supper hosted by Rob Smith will be held a day later this year on Sunday 26th January, a traditional 4 Course Scottish Fayre @ £27.00p.p.

The annual celebratory tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796). Celebrated on, or about, the Bard's birthday, January 25th, Burns Suppers range from stentoriously formal gatherings of esthetes and scholars to uproariously informal rave-ups of drunkards and louts.

Our Burns Suppers falls in the middle of this range, and adheres, more or less, to some sort of time honoured form which includes the eating of a traditional Scottish meal, the drinking of Scotch whisky, and the recitation of works by, about, and in the spirit of the Bard.

Due to the popularity of this event we ask you to to book via our website where you will find a secure payment page to pay a £10.00p.p. deposit.
